After a very long labor we have our precious baby girl.
Labor started on Tuesday afternoon about 2:30pm. I labored all night with things slowing in the morning. The contractions just stayed at 20-30 minutes apart. I was so tired so I laid down and slept for several hours. When I woke up they had gotten closer together and much harder. We called the midwives around midnight. Unfortunately Jaque was sick and couldn't make it so only her apprentice, Dawn, came. We absolutely loved her! She actually attends the Calvary Chapel in Merced and her pastor was once the children's pastor at our church! For those around here you know that is Bob and Meredeth's church. What a blessing she was to us. It was wonderful to hear her praying over me and for me during my labor. It was so neat to hear her saying "thank you, Jesus!" when things would progress and change. When Dawn first got here about 2:00 I was already to 8cm. By 6:00am I was complete but the baby had her little head in a sideways presentation and she just didn't want to slide down. About 10:30 Duane, Dawn, and I talked about what we should do. Things just weren't going anywhere. She laid out our options, one of which was to go to the hospital. After talking about it I decided I wanted to take a bit longer at home and she suggested getting on my hands and knees for a while to give the baby a chance to get into a better position. We prayed and then within 30 minutes things started changing. The contractions got much stronger and I could feel her move. She was born in the bathtub at 11:27am. I really thought we were having a boy based on what her heart rate was. It took me several minutes to even think to check what the baby was as I was just so excited she was finally here. When I looked I was completely surprised...our pattern was continuing. Three, three, and three!! God loves the number three, it is the number of Divine Perfection, so I feel so blessed with this little pattern we have going!
About 10 minutes after she was born I started to hemorrhage. Dawn gave me some pitocin right away and we got that under control. She wouldn't let me get up though and made me lay down. About two hours later I started to pass out so Duane and Dawn called an ambulance. My blood pressure was very low. Because of how long the labor was I wasn't hydrated enough. In the ambulance they hooked me up to an I.V. and within 15 minutes or so my blood pressure was back to normal. The gave me one more bag of fluid in the hospital. Duane wanted me to go ahead and stay one night and I really didn't want to but he felt very strongly about it so I did. They discharged me about 10:00 this morning. I am home and feeling so good! I am bummed I had to go in at all and wish I had kept up on my fluids much better but I can't complain to much because I have a healthy baby, had a good birth (Even though this was by far my longest labor I am so glad I was home because in the hospital they would have wanted to section me for "failure to progress"), and I feel so good physically. Labor was very long and draining, but Shyloh had made me a worship playlist on her Ipod and I listened to that and had some sweet fellowship with the Lord in the midst of it. It was such a neat experience!
Thank you all so very much for your prayers! I can't wait for everyone to meet the newest little Ney! We think we are going with the name Shylie Rayell. Shylie was not even on our name list but after looking at her in person she didn't look like any of the names on our list.

Congrats to you and family! She is just "perfect". So glad you made it through mamma. It takes allot to have those precious babies sometimes. I still can't get this past labor out of my mind. P.a.i.n.f.u.l. But, after the pain a little piece of heaven comes. Life brought from God. :-)
