(Notice Sasquatch in the background. lol)
Last Friday we did another trip to Discovery Kingdom. Duane's parents got all of us season passes for Christmas. It was the best gift for all of us. There is no way that we could go that often with having a family of 11.
The weather was wonderful and the time spent together was priceless. We are in the countdown to Shyloh's wedding and we are feeling like we need to spend as much time with her as possible. We are trying to squeeze in as many family outings as we possibly can in the next 3 months. We love Jeff very much but we realize that our whole family dynamics will change very soon. It won't be a bad change, but it will be a hard change for a while to see Shyloh's empty chair at the dinner table. The good thing is that they are buying a house less than a half a mile away and I'm hoping as a young newly married couple, on a budget, they will be coming "home" for dinner quite often. ;o)
We spent most of the day in the little kid area. Discovery Kingdom is just too big to hit every part of it in one day so we only hit one section everytime we go so we can actually enjoy it and not feel rushed. (One of the perks to having season passes!) After the little the ones had their time we let the big guys catch a couple rides before they closed.
Now for a trivia question...How many people can you fit in one of those little photo booths?
Answer...NOT eleven!
We had so much fun trying to squeeze inside though! What a sight I'm sure it was! After the pictures were taken we all tumbled out and a few of us were a bit dazed and confused and we all needed oxygen. It will always be a fun memory!
