Motherhood was to be for the glory of God - not our glory, not our satisfaction or significance, not for our pride or for our pat on the back of all the "selfless" things we might do all day and all night year after year... not for some reward or blessing.
What a blessing to be a mama! To birth, raise, and train the next generation up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. This is the most important job we could have been given. The world tries to put this down and demean it but there is no higher calling or privilege than to fashion the destiny of a soul.
The days can feel long and tiring and many times we have to put our own wants and desires on the back burner but we do all this as unto the Lord, for HIS glory. To bring HIM honor and praise. Every little nose we wipe, every diaper we change, every owie we pray for, and every hug we give…it’s all for HIS glory.
