He ran out the front door and down the driveway to say hi to Grandpa, who was waiting in the car for Grandma. As he ran excitedly yelling, “Grandpa, Grandpa!”, he tripped and face planted on the driveway. The kids brought him in crying and we watched in amazement as a egg grew out the front of his forehead.
That is kinda how life has been lately. There is never a dull day in Neyville! LOL
I thought it was time for a quick update on life here in Neyville, so here it goes!
Shelbie is my right arm at home these days, helping to keep things in order and as much chaos free as a family our size can be. She works 3-4 days a week currently but will be slowing down during the summer. It will be nice to do some sitting on the lawn, drinking ice coffees and chatting with her this summer. She is praying about pursuing a career in midwifery. Whether she uses that here or in Africa I know that she would be excellent to care and minister to pregnant mama’s!
Shaylah starts cosmetology school in June. She will graduate in 12–15 months depending on how many hours she puts in. We are all so excited to have someone in the family who can help beautify us! She will have a pretty good client list just with her immediate family! Besides school, Shaylah also divides her time up with her boyfriend, Lorenzo. They have been in a courtship since November and we are excited to see where the Lord takes their relationship in the next few years. Shaylah and Lorenzo have known each other since they were 6 and 8. They have grown up together and are best friends. Such a great foundation for a relationship!
The boys are growing like weeds! Really, really tall weeds! Shayden is 6’1” and Shannen right behind him at 5’9”! Shadd is small compared to his big brothers but I have no doubt he is going to sky rocket just like them. The boys keep busy with their lawn service and hope to build it up even more this summer. They are excited to have a break from school this summer and I’m excited for them to have time to do some fun projects for me!
My three little girls are three peas in a pod! Its fun being back in the season of life with giggly, squealing little girls! We’re back to painting toe parties and lots of dress up. Frozen is the in “thing” here! Someone is always singing “Let it go!” I’m enjoying having another batch of little girlies around, it reminds me so much of where we started. :-)
Shiro is almost three and ALL boy! He runs around with his trucks and cars going vroom, vroom, vroom! He loves his daddy and big brothers and adores Shandie! Next school year I am going to start some preschool work with Shiro. He is such a busy boy and I think having him have something to do during our school day will be really good for him and us! Duane had to install a lock up high on our back door so I could keep him contained! He wants to be outside by his chicken, Leo, all the time!
Miss Shandie just turned 4 months last Tuesday. She is growing every day and is such a joy and delight for us. She just started rolling this week! She’s on her way to be mobile! The first couple months was so challenging with her colic. We seem to finally have her tummy issues under control. I feel sad that her first several weeks of life had so many tummy aches and made for such an upset baby. I had to be so careful with everything that I put in my mouth. I decided eating was overrated. There is nothing that is worth a baby with a hurting tummy! I am now slowly adding all the offending foods back into my diet. For the most part she is okay but there are still times I end up paying for what I ate and realize that I can’t have something yet.
Next week Duane is on vacation and we are having family week. We are all looking forward to a week off of school and being able to hang with Daddy all week. Our week will consist of an ocean trip, camping out in the backyard, and hopefully some fun projects. It’s also my birthday week! That is an added bonus! LOL
Well, there it is! An update from Neyville! I would love to say that I will return to the blogging world soon but with life so busy something has to give, and unfortunately blogging isn’t making the cut these days!
(Papa and Nana, we love you bunches and bunches! We haven’t forgotten you! We miss you more than words can say! XOXOXO)
