Saturday we went on a bike ride at Yosemite National Park with our church. The day was wonderful! I haven't been there since I was pregnant with Shyloh and I really didn't remember much about it. The place is breathtakingly beautiful!! God's marvelous handiwork displaying all His majesty!
We biked around the park and saw the falls. By the time we got there we were pretty warm so the mist from the falls was wonderful. From there we left and headed to Mirror Lake where you can see the reflection of Half Dome in the water. We didn't make it all the way there due to the fact that we didn't know what the itinerary would be. We assumed we would be eating once we got there, but we didn't so we were starving. Our family and one other family turned around right before mirror lake to go eat. Next time we'll eat on the way up and take lots of snacks while were biking around.
Our group ate and hung out in a beautiful meadow right next to a river. There were thousands of lady bugs flying in this meadow. My kids had the best time catching them. We brought home a bunch to release in my garden!
The drive home felt so long when we were all so tired. It was a great workout for our legs and I can't say enough on how beautiful it was! We are already planning another trip up there.
