Joy

Well little Shylie didn’t wake up miraculously healed this morning.  Instead she woke with a 102 temp so we sat on the porch and waved good bye to our family as they all headed out for a day at the aquarium and beach without us.

I’m so sad this happened when we had family visiting from out of state but the Lord knew it would and He has a plan that is perfect. So I am going to make lemonade out of lemons!

Shyloh sweetly stayed home with me so we are having a chance to enjoy some great conversation, a quiet lunch together, and we may even watch Cheaper by the Dozen. (The original black and white one. It’s so much better than the new version!)  I’m also hoping to get some school planning in while Shylie sleeps and my arms are empty.

It’s all about finding JOY in the journey, right?  Today’s journey is keeping me at home with my sweet little girl and having the privilege of loving on her and comforting her while she is sick.  It’s going to be a great day just because I’m here…with her!
