Glasses

Up until very recently no one in our family had ever had an eye exam. When Shyloh got her license we quickly realized that she needed to be seen. She had trouble seeing license plates, signs in the distance, and seemed to really squint when she had to back up. After being seen by the doctor, he gave her the news that we already knew, but she had hoped he wouldn't say....you need glasses. They are only for driving, watching movies, and anything that requires her to see from a distance. I know we are partial, but we think she looks cute in them. Of course that is not the thing that a 16 year old wants to hear! We also tried to tell her how smart she looks in them. Again, not a thing that a 16 year old wants to hear.
We decided that we should probably have everyone checked. This week Sheblie, Shayden, and I had our exams. We all have "eagle eyes", with the exception of Shayden who the doctor said had "pilot eyes". On Monday Shannen, Shadd, and Shaylah will have their exams. Hopefully they are fine too. I think Shyloh was actually sad that she is in this by herself and is holding out "hope" that next week someone else will join her in the "smart club"! Maybe she is a bit tired of being called "four eyes" by her siblings? Of course, it is all in love!!
Doesn't she look cute?!!

(and smart too!)
