Our first week off of school is underway and I am loving it! With temps being in the 100's this week I have completely enjoyed being able to jump in and out of the pool throughout the day. We pretty much just live in our swimsuits!
We have started on our list of projects this week. So far I have the boys bedroom curtains almost completed. I am paying Shaylah to help reorganize and lay down some new shelf liner in all the kitchen cupboards. We worked for a couple hours yesterday and will do more this afternoon. I also got the paint for our upstairs hallway so hopefully Shelbie will get that started today. Shyloh is also going to try her hand at grouting the tile in the girls bathroom that has never been finished.
Shelbie, Shaylah, and I got up early yesterday and hit Winco before the big heat of the day. It was so nice to get that out of the way early. We came home though and my outside fridge is not cooling like it should so I am concerned about that. We had to throw away an unopened 1/2 gallon of half and half yesterday. Hopefully we can get it cooled off quickly so nothing else spoils. Anyone with a big family knows what a shopping trip looks like and how much food we pack into our fridges. I am praying that I don't have to throw anything else away.
The girls and I have been watching "chic flicks" at night. We talked Duane into watching part of Emma with us the other night, but that was all he could stand. Last night he just went to bed instead of enduring another one of our movies. We watched Emma one night and Sense and Sensibility last night. Tonight we are thinking of Persuasion.
Shaylah made some wonderful homemade blueberry pancakes for breakfast so I am off to eat!
