A rambling of our week

Yesterday ended our second week of our new school year. I was so blessed to have wonderful help this week. We used to have an amazing tutor and last year she moved away to attend college out of state. She called us at the end of last school year and said she would be in town this summer if we wanted any tutoring for the children. We worked it out for her to come this month. Coming off of being sick and also feeling a bit lethargic at this point in pregnancy she has been such a huge blessing to have around. I have had to do hardly nothing as she has just covered everything with the kids. They just love having her here too! It has really allowed me to "ease" into the new school year. I was also able to wrap up another one of my summer projects. I still haven't made up the individual reading lists for each child that I had wanted to, so now I will be able to work on that a bit too.

I love deals and saving money so this week was a good one for that! K-mart had covergirl Trueblend make up on sale buy one, get one free. I also had a coupon for Covergirl, buy one get one free. I went in and chose my two items, got one free from K-mart and then used my coupon and they gave me the cheaper of the two items free as well. I ended up only paying the difference of $1.05 for $15.00 of make-up. Then Shelbie and I went to Walgreens to buy several things. Between their sale price, store coupons from their Monthly Easy Saver, and manufacturers coupons I saved $69.00 there! That was my big highlight of the week! I did the happy dance the whole way home! Shelbie thought it was pretty funny!

Yesterday Duane took the oldest five children and two of Shyloh's friends to the lake to go tubing. I took the three little ones and headed out to Costco. We made it through Costco, grabbed hotdogs at the food court, and then home for naps for the two little girls. I was exhausted! I forgot what it is like to shop by myself with no big helpers!

I am looking forward to a quiet weekend and actually getting some much needed yard work done around here. With the last 3 weekends busy with someone around here sick with the stomach flu the yards were really neglected. I am actually excited to pull weeds, fertilize the garden, and hedge some of the shrubs. Maybe we will get some swimming in and barbecue too. Next weekend we will hopefully be camping! We haven't gone one time so far this summer.

I am off to pull weeds!

Have a great weekend!
