Actually it is the night before the night before Christmas (about 1:00 am to be exact...I know, why in the world am I still up???) and I am behind on everything. I don't think I have ever been this unorganized before Christmas. I started getting sick last Thursday and woke up Friday feeling like I had been hit by a train...a few times. All the things that needed to be done - didn't. Today I am starting to feel better but still not great, but I still had to get things going. Duane and I spent several hours finishing Christmas shopping,(yes, we were one of those last minute shoppers!) and going to the grocery store. I actually walked through the grocery store making my menu as I went! How much more disorganized can you get?
Tomorrow I still have gifts to wrap, house to clean, and all our baking and cooking that needs to get done. Throw in the daily things that need done and things that just come up and it is a recipe for S-T-R-E-S-S. Oh well, what can you do? I will be praying for lots of P-E-A-C-E because that is what counters the other.
So for those that may be wondering why you haven't received a Christmas card from us yet...we didn't forget you. Getting these out was one of those things that fell by the wayside during a week of being sick. It will just end up being an "after" Merry Christmas card. They are all addressed and hopefully I will get out to buy stamps on Friday and get them mailed out. You can have the best plans, but it all goes out the window when you get sick.
So since our cards have not arrived yet to say it, I will say it now...
May you all have a very merry Christmas! I pray we all stay focused on what it truly is we are celebrating!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

When I first read this, I thought you wrote that it WAS the night before Christmas, so I pictured you frantically running about doing all of those things on Christmas day! Now, that would be stress! If that had been the case, I think gift bags all around and a dinner from Boston Market would have been in order. I hope you had a great day with your family, Marni!
