"Build Us Back"

As my girls are out selling cookies again to raise money to feed the hungry I'm sitting here thinking about this song. It has been a year since the devastating earthquake in Haiti. They are still rebuilding their lives and homes. How many of us have moved on? Let's not forget!
The Hands & Feet Project is another way to get involved and do something! Where will the Lord write you into this story?
(Go down and turn off my playlist to better hear this)

A visit with Maycie

Duane and I ran over to help Shyloh with something the other day and we took Shadd and Poppet with us.  They asked if they could go outside and play with Maycie, Shyloh’s dog.  Within minutes they were back in and Shadd declared that he saved Poppet!  Maycie had pinned her down and used poor Poppet as a door mat.  It looked much worse before we got home and most of the paw prints had dried.  At least she’s still smiling!

Continuation of “Pie in the face”

Last week Shyloh decided to sneak up on Duane and shove a cupcake in his face.  (Such a terrible waste of a delicious cupcake!)  He warned her that she started it!  On Sunday afternoon it was payback time.  She had just woken up from enjoying a nice nap during the football game when he decided to make his attack.  I think the pictures speak for themselves.

Stamp pads and smiles

We let the little girls play with the stamp pad set the other day, even Shylie...seemed harmless enough at the moment. Much can change in a matter of moments. I think its safe to say she had fun!

Don’t drink the punch

Picture 114

This really isn’t as bad as it looks!  Every other month or so I’ll clean the kids ears with a little peroxide.  They wanted me to do it again a couple of night ago.  They are all laying very still while the peroxide does its job.  My funny husband said it reminded him of a Jim Jones scene.  Nope, just cleaning ears!

(Shylie isn’t getting her ears done, but still wanted to be like everyone else! lol)

I am difficult to offend

I read this and loved it!  Something I’m working on teaching my children and myself.

Why give control of your day to other people?

“Rudeness, quick tempers, and holding grudges seem to be very common today. People don’t realize they are playing right into the devil’s hands when they allow these negative and poisonous emotions to rule them.”

Satan is fishing all the time hoping to catch someone in his trap.  Don’t take his bait! Start…saying,

 “I am difficult to offend!”
