Hidden Pictures Puzzles ~ Highlights magazine has a teacher toolbox with lots of fun activities such as these hidden picture puzzles. You can even sign up to have a monthly Hidden Pictures Puzzle delivered to your inbox. These are great to have your kids work on while they’re waiting for mom to get done helping someone else. Keeps them busy otherwise my kids can magically disappear and rounding them back up can be a chore!
More hidden pictures from Highlights kids and they even have some fun online activities.
Bricks and More from Legos. I have printed out all of these and plan on laminating them and using these with my boys as part of their logic and thinking.
Poppet and I made this Sequencing Sailboats Alphabet Folder Game the other day. You can find more fun printables over at Lakeshore Learning. In their teacher’s corner you can make your own word search. What a great resource! Today I made one of all the names in our home for my younger ones to do.
Bill Nye’s Climate Lab~ Remember Bill Nye the science guy? This site has fun missions and activities for kids to do to teach about conserving energy.
Spelling City~ A great and fun site to practice spelling words. Your children can practice spelling and take their spelling tests online. They can also play spelling and vocabulary games with their word lists or print them out.
There are three features to this site. You enter your child's spelling words and you can do one of three things:
And who doesn’t love play-doh? My kids do, but I have a “love-hate” relationship with it. I love playing with it and hate cleaning it up. Play-Doh has some fun printable activity mats. You can laminate them and use then for your little people or print them and throw them away when your done for easy clean up. They even have lesson plans that you can use play-doh for.
Who thought school could be so fun? Happy schooling!

That is so awesome, Marni (sp?)! I don't home school, but I'm always looking for fun (learning) activites for the kids. And the funny part is my younger ones don't even realize they are learning at the same time.
I have just a "hate" relationship with play-doh. I won't even allow it into the house. The kids know not to even glance at the play-doh in the store. LOL
Thanks for sharing these great sites!
