Happenings from Neyville

july pictures 002 Where did last week go? I couldn’t really tell you. Every day feels busy even when we are just hanging around home which is exactly what we’ve been fortunate enough to be doing.

Last week I did a bit of deep cleaning in my bedroom. I weeded thru my closet and pulled out a couple bags of clothes and shoes to goodwill. I also went thru and organized school curriculum in bins by subject and stored some of those under the crib in my room. The little girls have spent several nights sleeping in our room since its been clean. Happy

We celebrated the 4th of July here with family and sweet friends. We had lots of yummy food and some delicious desserts. The weather couldn’t have been better. We were worried about it being too warm but it ended up perfect. little girlsPicture 027Picture 028Aunt Dee Dee thought it would be funny to sneak the babies chocolate cake, so Shyloh and I ended up hiring a hit on her. Who else do you turn to when you need a dark deed done?? Of course…Shaylah! (Insert wicked laugh here…) We had Shaylah give Aunt Dee Dee back a little of the cake she was sneaking to our little guys. deanna Shiro and Bodey have definitely mastered the whole walking thing. They are pros! What is it with walking and the mental changes that take place with it? They just seems smarter and wiser now. They love being outside and love playing in their pool.july pictures 012I really couldn’t tell you what Shannen was thinking here. He decided to try and fit into the Little Tykes car we have. july pictures 013Maybe he just wanted to give me something to blog on? Thanks, Shannen!july pictures 014We finally got our new stove hood. We had a microwave above the stove that we haven’t used in over 3 years. I hated even having it plugged in as even that puts out a small level of radiation but since it was hard wired in we had no choice. I love having our microwave out of the house, but I do miss having the great timer on it and also a place to store things from little fingers. I found that one out today when our cooling zucchini bread kept getting little finger bites out of it.july pictures 010Isn’t it purdy? Notice the dirty, yucky wall where the microwave once lived? Well, that will soon be replaced by bead board! Yay! I have wanted Duane to put up bead board in my kitchen for a while, now we have to!

We made a paper chain to count down how many more days until Shelbie comes home. I thought having something visual that the little girls can see would be helpful and easier than trying to show them and count on the calendar. Everyday we remove one chain link. To make it fun I added 3 party days to celebrate the countdown, a pizza party, an ice-cream, and on day 5 a “to be announced” party. Any excuse for a party is good!july pictures 018july pictures 022july pictures 021 I have a feeling time will seem to go quickly from here on out in Neyville. We’ve spent the last couple of weeks doing lots of relaxing, swimming, and sipping sweet tea. From here on out we have lots of things going on. The men have a camping trip in a couple of weeks and we are also hoping to get a family camping trip in this month. Shyloh is down to 5 weeks left, but we are really wondering if this little blessing may come sooner. I have oodles of school planning to do this month and I’ve waited so long that now I feel a wee bit stressed over it. Sweet Lolly has a birthday coming up that she is daily counting down to and then after that Shelbie will almost be back. What has felt like forever will quickly feel like no time at all. We can’t wait to have Shelbie back home with us and hear all about what the Lord has been doing! We are expecting some great and awesome things!
